Quidditch Comes To The World This Sept!
Working on a larger scaled game often means having long gaps with very little info made public due to NDAs and such. So it brings me great excitement to be able to share that Harry Potter Quidditch Champions will release on September 3rd on a range of platforms! This was showcased to the world at this year’s Summer Game Fest. I’ve been on this project for over two years and it’s been such a pleasure to work on. I’ve learned and grown so much. Stay tuned – there’s plenty more still to come!
Here’s the reveal trailer:
Reaction Videos
It’s always fun to see fans react and this video just made me smile from ear to ear. Give it a view – I found it quite heartwarming:
I also enjoyed this one! He’s pretty pumped! His energy and enthusiasm is contagious!
Be on the look out for more details as they are made public and check out Quidditch Champions this coming September!
What Else is Up?
I’ve been hired as a composer for a few different, smaller projects – which is always fun! So much of my day job involves sound design and implementation, so I really enjoy getting to return to music. Also, it’s summer time and HOT so far in Texas. Last Summer was very hot but very dry. Pros and cons to that – the ground started cracking, the grass was all yellow and didn’t really grow but we didn’t have much insects either. This Summer has been much more wet, which means more mosquitos and such. The temps are a little bit lower though. Man, I didn’t mean to make this like a weather report…
I’m also cranking away on my third iteration of my Audio for Video Games course that I teach every fall at The University of Tennessee Knoxville. This Fall I’ve got some exciting new games for the student to design music, sound design and voice overs for! Also to help spread the word about the class, I made this trailer:
Well… that’s about it for now. Check in for more updates and try your best to stay cool out there. Go to the pool. Eat some ice cream. Do it for the children.
