MIXING THE CRUNCHYROLL WALK-THROUGH VIDEO
I recently had the pleasure of providing sound design and mixing the new Crunchyroll app walk-through video. This was a neat challenge because I was mixing it in various languages: French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and English. Mixing narration in a language you don’t speak is always challenging because you want to make sure it’s intelligible and clear. I provided the sound design for the major text swipes and transitions and then mixed in the existing music and third party sound design (the button taps) into one cohesive sound package. It was a blast!
I’m very excited to see where things go with FUNimation and Crunchyroll merging. Check out the walk-through below:
Go check out the new Crunchyroll app and see the huge catalog of Anime they’ve got up there!
STAYING BUSY
In other news, I’m still staying busy with lots of small(er) music and sound jobs as well as doing a very large and fun music job which is currently under NDA. So, sorry, I can’t say much besides that I’m learning a great deal and really enjoying it. I’ll share more as I can! Also, I’m still working on that new track for SkateBIRD. Aside from work, I’m enjoying the warmer weather and glad some things seem to be wiggling their way back to normal.
S’MORES VLOGS…. (see what I did there??)
I’ve slowly been making more vlog episodes as I can to help illuminate some of my processes as well as thoughts/intentions behind audio production. Here are two recent ones:

Kind of a short update this month but that’s about all I can share right now. If you need great audio, sound design, music or an endless flow of terrible Dad jokes… reach out. I’m always happy to help!
